§ 10-176. Application; deposit.

(a)

Any person or entity desiring a cable television franchise for the first time from the city shall submit to the city an application and a deposit of five hundred dollars ($500.00). If the franchise is granted, the deposit will be refunded to the applicant. If the city council fails to approve the franchise, seventy (70) percent of the deposit will be refunded to the applicant.

(b)

The application for a cable television franchise shall include the name and address of the applicant and any partners or stockholders, if applicable.

(c)

The application shall include annual financial reports of the person and references as to his financial status. The application shall include a resume containing the work experience of the applicant in the line of work which is the subject of the cable television franchise sought and plans setting forth the applicant's ability to furnish the service which is the subject of the cable television franchise sought from the city.
