§ 10-227. Dealing with minors.

  • No gold, silver or gemstone merchant or pawnbroker shall take or receive in payment or pledge for money loaned any gold, silver, copper, brass, aluminum other than in the form of cans, or other precious metals, jewelry, precious stones, or objects composed of such precious metals or stones from a person under the age of eighteen (18) years. Lack of knowledge of age shall not be a defense to a violation of this section.
