§ 14-5. Property owner or occupant responsible for preparation, storage and placement of trash for collection.

  • (a)

    Trash shall be placed in heavy plastic bags with tops sealed or bundles not exceeding five (5) feet or over seventy (70) pounds.

    (b)

    Trash collection shall be placed at curbside as provided in section 14-4.

    (c)

    Trash may include brush, logs, limbs, small tree branches and trimmings or small items not readily containerized if they meet the following criteria:

    (1)

    Must be stacked and stored in a neat and orderly manner;

    (2)

    Must be placed properly as described for trash containers;

    (3)

    Logs, limbs, branches and tree trimmings must be no longer than five (5) feet and weigh not over seventy (70) pounds.

    (d)

    Other large objects discarded which cannot be placed in containers or bundled, shall be stored or stacked in a neat and orderly manner at curbside as provided in section 14-4 or any other means of disposal made by the property owner with the collector. All cardboard containers or boxes will be broken down and flattened.

    (e)

    Any trash or debris which has not been handled or stored in accordance with the above provisions shall be prohibited unless arrangements have been made with the collector.
