§ 15-41. Construction; application; specifications.

  • (a)

    Anyone desiring to construct sidewalks, concrete or otherwise in the city, shall make application to the city engineer, who shall designate the proper width and proper grade and provide the proper drainage of the property adjoining. The sidewalks may be constructed, under the supervision of the city engineer, who will furnish specifications which are on file in the city engineer's office.

    (b)

    All specifications shall be the same, insofar as the parts of cement, sand and gravel are concerned, and the sidewalks shall all be a uniform width on certain streets, and with uniform materials. It shall be unlawful for anyone to erect or put down sidewalks, except as provided in this section.
