§ 16-115. Public use and service areas.

  • Where a park, neighborhood recreational open space, a school site, or other areas for public use shown on a plan which has been officially adopted by the planning and zoning commission, is located in whole or in part in the proposed subdivision, the city council shall seek to secure the reservation of the necessary land for such use. Special consideration shall be given to schools and parks in subdivisions larger than twenty-five (25) acres or more, or one hundred (100) lots or more.
