§ 2-131. Creation, purpose.

There is hereby created a crime prevention commission. The purpose will be to advise the city council on matters pertaining to the reduction of crime in the city and to assist the police department and other law enforcement agencies in successfully reducing crime in the city through the generation of citizen support and participation in effective community crime prevention programs.
