§ 6-1. Fire limits established.

The fire limits of the city are hereby established as follows:

AREA ONE. Beginning at the northwest corner of block 57, NEB, which is also the intersection of the east margin of Memphis Street and the south margin of Carolina Avenue; thence southerly 130 ft. along the east margin of Memphis Street; thence easterly parallel to Carolina Avenue for a distance of 120 ft. to the east margin of lot 19, block 57; thence southerly along the east margin of lot 19, block 57, to the north margin of Louisiana Avenue; thence along the east margin of lot 19 extended southerly to the south margin of Louisiana Avenue; thence along the south margin of Louisiana Avenue to the intersection of the south margin of Louisiana Avenue and the east margin of Jackson Street; thence along the east margin of Jackson Street to the intersection of the south margin of Mississippi Avenue and the east margin of Jackson Street; thence along the south margin of Mississippi Avenue a distance of 120 ft.; thence southerly along the east boundary of lot 11, block 61, NEB, to the north margin of the alley; thence westerly along the north margin of the alley to the east margin of Jackson Street; thence southerly along the east margin of Jackson Street and the east margin of Jackson Street extended to the south margin of Alabama Avenue; thence along the south margin of Alabama Avenue to the intersection of the south margin of Alabama Avenue extended and the south margin of Georgia Avenue; thence easterly along the curving south margin of Georgia Avenue for 500 ft.; thence southerly along a course of S-14 degrees 22 min. W. to Bogue Lusa Creek; thence in a westerly direction follow the meandering of Bogue Lusa Creek to a point of 250 ft. west of the Avenue B Bridge; thence in a northerly direction parallel to Cumberland Street to the north margin of the alley of block 151, NWB; thence easterly along the north margin of the alley of block 151 to the west margin of Shenandoah Street to the south margin of the alley, block 136, NWB; thence along the south margin of the alley 240 ft.; thence northerly parallel to Shenandoah Street to the south margin of Ontario Avenue; thence westerly along the south margin of Ontario Avenue, a distance of 900 ft.; thence northerly to the south margin of block 11, Midwest Addition, thence easterly along the south margin of block 11 to the east margin of Sabine Street; thence along the east margin of Sabine Street to the south margin of Lucerne Street; thence along the south margin of Lucerne Street and the south margin extended easterly to Coburn's Creek; thence follow the meanderings of Coburn's Creek to the east margin of Austin St.; thence in an easterly direction and at an angle of 90 degrees to Austin Street a distance of 150 ft.; thence southerly and parallel to Austin Street a distance of 600 ft.; thence easterly and parallel to Carolina Avenue a distance of 150 ft.; thence southerly and parallel to Austin Street to the point of beginning.

AREA THREE. Beginning at the northwest corner of lot 2, block 7, L.A. Pierce Revised Addition to the city thence easterly along the north line and the north line extended of lots 2, and 23, block 7 to the northwest corner of lot 2, block 10 LAP Revised Addition; thence along the north line of lot 2, and lot 23, block 10 to the west margin of Third Avenue; thence southerly along the west margin of Third Avenue to the southeast corner of lot 15, block 9, LAP Revised Addition; thence along the south line and the south line extended of lots 15, and 10 of block 9 to the southeast corner of lot 15, block 8, LAP Revised Addition; thence westerly along the south line of lots 15 and 10 of block 8, LAP Revised Addition, to the east margin of First Avenue; thence northerly along the east margin of First Avenue to the point of beginning.

AREA FOUR. Beginning at the northwest corner of lot 3, block 8, LAP Revised Addition; thence easterly along the north line and the north line extended of lots 3 and 22, block 8 to the northwest corner of lot 3, block 9, LAP Revised Addition; thence easterly along the north line and the north line extended of lots 3 and 22, block 9, LAP Revised Addition to the northwest corner of lot 3, block 14, LAP Revised Addition; thence easterly along the north line and the north line extended of lot 3, block 14 to the west margin of Florence Avenue; thence southerly along the west margin of Florence Avenue to the southeast corner of block 16, which is also the north margin of Deloraine Street; thence westerly along the north margin of Deloraine Street to the east margin of First Avenue; thence northerly along the east margin of First Avenue to the point of beginning.

AREA FIVE. Beginning at the northeast corner of block 1, Pleasant Hill Addition, which is also the intersection of the south margin of 6th St. and the west margin of Avenue F; thence westerly along the north margin of block 1 (south margin of 6th Street) to the east margin of the alley in block 1; thence southerly along the east margin of the alley in blocks 1, 2, and 3, Pleasant Hill Addition, to the north margin of 9th Street; thence easterly along the north margin of 9th Street and the north margin extended to the southwest corner of block 69 of the South Bogalusa Addition (supplement map No. 1); thence continue along the north margin of 9th Street to the west margin of the alley of block 69; thence northerly along the west margin of the north margin of lot 5, block 69, thence easterly along the north line of lot 5 extended and the north line of lot 17 to the west margin of Avenue E; thence northerly along the west margin of Avenue E to the north line of lot 23, block 68; thence westerly along the north line of lot 23, block 68 to the west margin of the alley in block 68; thence northerly along the west margin of the alley of blocks 68 and 59 to the south margin of 6th Street; thence westerly along the south margin of 6th Street to the point of beginning.
