§ 6-41. Title; object and scope of provisions.

  • The provisions of this chapter shall hereafter be and is hereby known and designated as the "Electrical Comprehensive Code of the City of Bogalusa". The object of this code is to promote public safety and to reduce personal injury and fire hazards from electrical causes within the city. For the achievement of this objective or purpose, the requirements herein set forth are intended to provide a minimum standard for electrical installations in the city. These provisions shall not be applicable to installations in railway cars, automotive equipment, electrical railway companies, electrical public utility companies in generation, transmission or distribution of electricity or the operation of signals or transmission of intelligence in the exercise of their functions as such agencies and located outdoors in buildings used exclusively for that purpose, provided, however, that these regulations, except as to permits, shall apply to all such wiring and equipment installed in or upon the consumer's premises.
