For the purpose of ascertaining and determining the qualifications of any person,
firm or corporation to be authorized to engage in business as an electrical contractor
and/or electrical sign manufacturer and/or journeyman or master electrician for the
installation, removal, alteration or repair of electrical equipment as herein defined
and/or the manufacture, installation, removal, alteration or repair of any electrical
sign, display or outline lighting or what is known as secondary or high voltage side
of transformer, or any other work or duties hereafter provided for, the mayor, by
and with the advice of the city council, shall appoint a board of electrical examiners
to be constituted as follows:
The electrical inspector of the city, the city electrician and the building inspector
of the city. The board of examiners shall consist of three (3) members. The electrical
inspector shall be the permanent secretary.
