§ 6-164. License and bond required for plumbers.

  • No plumber shall be permitted to do any work in the limits of the city unless he shall have first procured a license and given a bond in the sum of one thousand dollars ($1,000.00), payable to the city, guaranteeing the city against any loss, damage or harm whatever, on account of defective works, negligence on his part or the part of some of his employees, in tearing up streets or sidewalks, failing to properly barricade excavations, guard them with red lights, or damages arising from any suit filed against the city on account of accidents happening on account of some negligence of the plumber or his employees, or defect in the work, whether directly or indirectly. The bond to have good and solvent and satisfactory sureties, or be a surety company bond.
